Brix Scale Units. Units using the Brix scale measure sugar concentrations in solutions (fruit juices, soft drinks, wine), as well as the concentration of industrial fluids such as cutting coolants, glycol solutions, and flux rinsing compounds. Models with automatic temperature compensation (ATC) are great for field use because they require no recalibration after shifts in ambient working temperature. Temperature compensation effective between 10° and 30°C (50° and 80°F).
