Hard and flexible plate for halftone printing |
|
Application
The AFP-HD plate has been developed to satisfy the severest quality demands imposed on flexo printing today. Its high shore hardness
contributes to achieving superlative quality in printing film, aluminium foil and paper.
It is no problem to produce plates with a screen ruling up to 175lpi and a tonal value range of 1% to 95%.
Open and sharp-contour reproduction of reverse image elements, minimized dot gain and the printing of tonal gradations without break-off are
additional advantages of the AFP-HD plate.
• Wide exposure latitude
• Steep relief shoulders
• Optimum color change
• Short processing time
|
• Excellent reproduction
• High resistance to ozone
• High flexibility

| Inks and Solvents |
Irrespective of the ink system used (solvent, water-based, or UV ink) the AFP-HD plate always ensures optimum ink transfer. It is
permissable to use solvent mixtures containing a limited amount of active solvents (ethyl acetate content-preferably under 10%). |
| Storage of Raw Plates |
AFP-HD plates should be stored at a room temperature of 5-25°C and relative humidity of 55% |
| Storage of Used Plates |
Careful cleaning of the plates after printing is recommended. Direct exposure to sunlight, heat and high concentrations of ozone should be avoided. |
