Over the last 30 years there have been important innovations in all these areas, with the result that flexographic printing has now matched other printing processes in quality.
Plate mounting tapes from Lohmann have also been instrumental in the positive development of the flexographic printing process. Increasingly difficult printing jobs mean that plate mounting tapes must adapt accordingly. Only then can the higher quality printed image be achieved. This complex requirement can only be covered by exactly adjusted degrees of foam compressibility. The "Duplo" range contains versions for the entire spectrum of flexographic printing.
Compressible Foam Mounting Tapes
Flexographic printing plates, especially ones with continuous tones and vignettes, demand a mounting tape with compensating compression. Lohmann has researched the effects of compressibility in great detail. Extensive tests have resulted in ideal solutions which are continuously adapted to current requirements.
